production at current levels; decision comes despite calls to pump more
supplies into market that is becoming increasingly tight; holding
output steady could send oil prices higher this spring as demand for
gasoline picks up; OPEC's secretary general Abdalla Salem el-Badri says
market is stable and healthy; Iraq Oil Min Hussain al-Shahristani tells
reporters that Iraq will offer first round of bidding for oil projects
in second half of year once oil law, drawn up by Council of Ministers,
receives Parliament's approval; oil futures close at $57.55, down 0.6
percent, in New York trading; International Energy Agency says demand
is expected to increase by 1.5 million barrels to 86 million barrels
per day, 1.8 percent increase from 2006; OPEC, in its final statement,
says global economic growth will remain 'relatively firm' this year,
although at lower level than last year, and notes that higher interest

Very small partners for safety

Nanotechnology is a combination of scientific and engineering
advances that allow the design, fabrication and manufacture of products
at the molecular level. As this field becomes increasingly more
cost-efficient a variety of law enforcement uses will be available. For
instance, developments in nanotechnology will change the threat
protection level of vehicle ballistic panels and even your personal
body armor

Nanotechnology can create material that has the weight of
plastic but is more than sixty times stronger than steel. Furthermore,
material produced at the molecular level can be given a number of
"smart" features. It will be possible to design the outer body of your
police vehicle to not only weigh less and provide more protection, but
it will be somewhat "smart."

As an example, if a bullet was fired at your police vehicle
the nanotechnology would "sense" the impact and be able to react
quickly enough to re-arrange itself to maximizes protection and the
deflection and energy absorption factors. These developments will also
find their way into your soft-body armor. In the future, the way your
current body armor distributes the energy from a bullet will be
considered "dumb" when compared with the ability of armor produced
through nano-manufacturing.

Further over the horizon is duty uniforms with protection of today's ceramic plates.

Heads Up!

Most of the technological advancements in the future will be
difficult for the patrol officer to manage with a new way of receiving
information. The military solved some of the human problem of
receiving, processing and managing information by providing pilots with
"Heads Up Display" (HUD) technology.

There are a number of police vehicles with rudimentary forms
HUD technology being tested. Essentially, a limited amount of
information about your vehicle (particularly speed) and some

How a Jet Engine Works

This is a picture of how the air flows through a jet engine.

Jet engines move the airplane forward with a great force that is produced by a tremendous thrust and causes the plane to fly very fast.

All jet engines, which are also called gas turbines , work on the same principle. The engine sucks air in at the front with a fan. A compressor raises the pressure of the air. The compressor is made up of fans with many blades and attached to a shaft. The blades compress the air. The compressed air is then sprayed with fuel and an electric spark lights the mixture. The burning gases expand and blast out through the nozzle, at the back of the engine. As the jets of gas shoot backward, the engine and the aircraft are thrust forward.

The image above shows how the air flows through the engine. The air goes through the core of the engine as well as around the core. This causes some of the air to be very hot and some to be cooler. The cooler air then mixes with the hot air at the engine exit area.

A jet engine operates on the application of Sir Isaac Newton's 3. law of physics: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is called thrust. This law is demonstrated in simple terms by releasing an inflated balloon and watching the escaping air propel the balloon in the opposite direction. In the basic turbojet engine, air enters the front intake and is compressed, then forced int.. Alonso was also the victim of a classy overtaking move by Nick Heidfeld and admitted he had problems with car during the race.

"I couldn't do more than what I did, and in the end it's four points and we finished the race and as I said I tried to do the best I could," he added. "I wasn't very comfortable with the car, and in the end I did the best I could."

The good news for Alonso is that he is still head of the championship tied on 22 points with Raikkonen and Hamilton.

"After these first three races I didn't think I would be sharing the lead in the championship with the Ferraris when we thought they were on another planet," added Alonso. "So we'll arrive in Barcelona in good conditions and leading the championship."

..
Turkish Gulets are gracious and elegant motor sailors built from pine in traditional fashion and designed as pointed fore and round aft, specifically for charter holidays. A holiday on a gulet is for those wishing to relax completely and be pampered by the Turkish crew of up to four which always includes a good cook. All Gulets have loads of sunbathing space and are ideal for larger groups of six to twelve people. Water sport enthusiasts are catered for with sailboards, masks and snorkels and fishing gear. Gulets range from 12 to 35 metres and some carry optional water-ski boats and jet-skis. Most of our yachts are built in Bodrum, Marmaris or the Western Black Sea region.

If you wish to spend your holidays without even having to decide what is going to be on the menu, let our management and our cook do it for you with a small additional charge. However, if you like, this can be left entirely up to you.

Your Turkish crew may not have a thorough knowledge of English, so you might be advised to take a small traveller's dictionary along with you for the cruise. Besides being understood more easily, it is also a great way of picking up a few words of Turkish.

..

Antalya

The Antalya Region, offering all the mysticism of past in our day, is now called the "Turkish Riviera" due to its archaeological and natural beauties. Antalya is the place where sea, sun, history and nature constitute a perfect harmony and which also includes the most beautiful and clearest coast along the Medditerranean. The city still preserves its importance as a centre throughout history in the south coast of the country, in addition to its wonderful natural beauties. The mythological city which housed the Gods and Goddesses now exhibits all its secrets and marvels to mankind.

Antalya is located in the west of the Medditerranean region. In ancient times it covered all Pamphylia which means "the land of all tribes". The land really deserves the name since it has witnessed many successive civilizations throughout history. In 1st century BC the Pergamum king Attalus ordered his men to find the most beautiful piece of land on earth; he wanted them to find "heaven on earth". After a long search all over the world, they discovered this land and said "This must be 'Heaven' " and King Attalus founded the city giving it the name "Attaleia". From then on many nations kept their eyes on the city. When the Romans took over the Pergamene Kingdom, Attaleia became an outstanding Roman city which the great Roman Emperor Hadrian visited in 130 AD; an arch was built in his honour which is now worth seeing. Then came the Byzantines, after which the Seljuk Turks took over the city in 1207 and gave it a different name, Adalya, and built the Yivli Minaret. The Ottomans followed the Seljuks and finally within the Turkish Republic it became a Turkish city and an important port. Antalya has been growing rapidly since 1960 and its population is 1,146,109 acccording to the 1990 census.

The climate of the province is typical Medditerranean: hot and dry in summers and temperate and rainy in winters. Sunshine is guaranteed .. ( devamı )

Schumacher, winner of back-to-back Formula One world driving
championships in 1994 and 1995, and then again in 2000 and 2001, was
the youngest two-time champion in F1 history. Schumacher burst onto the
F1 scene at Spa-Francorchamps in 1991, where he qualified 7th for the
Belgium GP in his first start for Jordan Grand Prix. He moved on just
one race later to Team Benetton, where
his career exploded, making him the winningest current driver and
without a serious rival — despite the 1998-99 resurgence of McLaren led
by now-retired Mika Hakkinen — since the death of Aryton Senna in May 1994.

In
a metaphor for the astronomical popularity — and cash — generated by
the Formula One series, Schumacher joined Ferrari for the 1996 season
and signed the largest single season contract in racing, or perhaps
sports, worldwide: $27 million per year. (Schumacher now lives,
naturally, in tax-free Monaco.) Yet, the move paid off for the prancing
horse team, with Schumacher claiming four poles and three wins,
including the Italian GP at Monza, giving Ferrari its best season in
years.

In
1997, "Schumi" came within one race of taking his third F1 crown, but

overtaking maneuver at Jerez. He kept his season points, but was
